We’ve also been excited to see innovative usages of Inspiro, with the theme used on real estate, adventure business and vacation sites. Any site with bold and exciting imagery to show off, Inspiro works beautifully. In this post we’ll share ten of our favourite sites.
1. Award winning filmmaker Danny Cooke
Danny is a filmmaker, director and editor who has won multiple awards, worked with prestigious clients and works as a freelancer in Devon, South West UK.
Danny uses Inspiro to great effect, using the full-screen video backgrounds to show off his work, including his viral hit Postcards from Pripyat, Chernobyl.
We interviewed Danny for our blog recently and asked his why he chose Inspiro for his site. This was his response:
I spent days trying to find a theme that would show off my work in the best possible light. Inspiro has a simple yet elegant look with beautiful typography which works wonders for vivid screenshots and embedded videos… [the theme] adds that extra bit of professionalism and helps my work portfolio thrive to new and existing clients.
2. Luxury Italian villa La Buia Villa
La Buia Villa is a luxury holiday villa in Umbria, Italy. The website uses Inspiro to show off the beautiful villa and location and collect bookings.
The gallery items are used very neatly to show off the different rooms of the house and the blog adds some up-to-date information on the local area which can help build traffic. There’s even integration with our Instagram widget to show of the latest square snaps!
3. Karen Stein Photography
Karen Stein uses Inspiro to show off her incredible photography. Karen describes her style as “creative and documentary” and loves to capture “those moments that people don’t realise portray the true and beautiful feelings on their day.”
Karen makes great usage of the tiled galleries integration and large featured images to show off her work. There’s even social sharing buttons to maximise engagement :)
4. AWHOU! skating community
AWHOU! is a community of longboarders originating from Berlin, Germany. They use Inspiro to share their passion for skating, latest projects and films.
The Crew page is a nice touch, with thumbnails of the members linking through to a full bio page with photos, videos and Q&As. As Inspiro is mobile ready, AWHOU! is too.
5. Small business: F.A.C.E. Makeup Artistry
f.a.c.e. Makeup Artistry, LLC is an upscale makeup boutique in Paducah, Kentucky. The site rocks Inspiro with bold imagery to show off owner Erin’s work and services.
f.a.c.e. makes use of Inspiro’s WooCommerce integration to sell various products through the website. Inspiro makes selling easy :)
6. Eco adventures in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Lake Geneva Canopy Tours offers a sky-high adventure tour in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Inspiro looks great on the site, with the full-screen background videos on the homepage showing off the sense of adventure created by the tour.
The site offers a comprehensive look at the features, packages and options available and is testament to WordPress and Inspiro’s flexibility as a content management system.
7. Stuudio Huusmann Photography
Malin Huusmann uses Inspiro to showcase her photography. The homepage uses the full-screen slider to excite potential customers and the portfolio page makes neat usage of Insprio’s filters to select different categories of Malin’s work.
Malin’s uses Inspiro’s full-width featured images on her blog to really show off her images. Looks great!
8. PMSM Architects
PMSM Architects are one of the oldest architectural firms in California, and with such strong design heritage it seems fitting they use Inspiro to power their site.
PMSM have a lot of imagery from their 100+ years of projects and Inspiro makes sure potential clients can access the whole portfolio easily. Offering “more” at the end of each project is just one of the ways the site lets the content shine.
9. 21st century art consultants
Christine Minas Fine Art is an agile art consulting firm for the 21st century. They make great usage of Inspiro to show off what they do and how they can help their clients.
The usage of the full-screen video background on the homepage shows the feature can be utilised by anyone with a creative message, not just videographers :)
