Today we’re looking back and celebrating what we’ve done and what you’ve done in 2021.
Before we get started, I’d like to share with you our most recent release, which is a brand new website for our Recipe Card Blocks plugin 🥳
As our plugin gained more attention and popularity in the last few months, it was about time to make this big step and create a separate site dedicated to the Recipe Card Blocks plugin.
We’ve also published a blog post on the new website with more information for existing customers and a roadmap for 2022. Make sure to check it out if you’re using this plugin.
The 2021 Recap
It’s been a full year with many changes and releases at WPZOOM.
A year ago, I sent a letter to my team, and along with the results for the previous year, I also wrote down the following list of things we planned to build in 2021:
Now when I’m looking at this list and the things that we built and released in 2021, I’m pretty amazed that we managed to do it in such a short time with a team of six people.
I marked in the screenshot above with green all products that we managed to build and release. As for those that didn’t see the light this year, we’ll probably work on them in 2022. Or maybe 2023. No one knows :)
Best of 2021
Inspiro Lite: from 0 to 20.000+ installs in less than a year
At the beginning of this year, we’ve released a completely rewritten version of the Inspiro theme in the WordPress theme repository.
The premium version of Inspiro has been one of our most popular themes for years. This is why we decided to make a simplified version of it available as a free theme on WordPress.org.
Shortly after the release, Inspiro Lite gained significant popularity and became one of the most popular WordPress themes. Out of 9068 themes available on wordpress.org, Inspiro Lite is currently in the 15th position.
The theme is really lightweight and a perfect fit for a simple website.
Inspiro PRO & Elementor Addons
Another big hit of 2021 is the new version of the Inspiro theme called Inspiro PRO.
Inspiro (Classic) has been one of our flagship themes since its release, and over the years, we’ve constantly worked towards improving it.
However, we realized that there was room for more innovation, so we decided to build and release a completely new version of Inspiro — Inspiro PRO.
Inspiro PRO comes packages with four demos, each featuring a different theme design:
- Eccentric – portfolio / video production
- Offbeat – portfolio / video production
- Business – the name says it all
- Winery – not just for wine lovers 🍷
New demos are added every month in the theme, and you can expect demos to build these types of websites to be added soon:
- Fitness – view demo (coming soon)
- Charity/Organization – view demo (coming soon)
- eCommerce – (coming soon)
Developing the Inspiro PRO with Elementor integration was an excellent opportunity to make this plugin our preferred page builder. Thus, we developed a new plugin called Elementor Addons by WPZOOM, and it’s being used on more than 5.000 websites.

What’s Next?
We have huge plans for 2022.
Getting closer to our community and being transparent about our roadmap is essential to our goal. So are the continuous updates to improve our WordPress products’ speed and quality.
In 2022, we have plans to release new themes and plugins. We’ll also listen carefully to your feedback and bring new features to our existing products. One example is to integrate our re-designed Demo Content Importer in more themes:
